Transforming Pakubuwono Residence into an Immersive 360° Digital Experience
InReality Solutions transformed the conventional website of Pakubuwono Residence into a fully immersive 360° interactive digital platform designed to showcase one of Jakarta's established luxury residential properties, support prospective tenants during the leasing journey, and provide useful digital services for existing residents.
From strategy and concept development to 360° photography, immersive development, custom UI/UX, multilingual functionality, and ongoing maintenance, the entire project was conceptualized and delivered end-to-end by InReality Solutions.
The resulting digital experience now encompasses approximately 220 panoramic locations and enables visitors from around the world to virtually explore the extensive facilities and environment of Pakubuwono Residence through desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, and compatible VR devices.
More than simply a virtual tour, the platform was developed as a complete immersive website that combines property exploration, information, resident services, events, content, and leasing inquiries within a single interactive experience.
The Challenge: Keeping an Established Luxury Property Relevant in the Digital Era
Pakubuwono Residence was already an established and highly regarded luxury residential property in Jakarta.
From the developer's perspective, the property had already been sold out. However, this created a different kind of business and marketing challenge.
How does an established residential property continue building its brand, remain relevant to new audiences, support existing property owners, and attract prospective tenants when there are no longer new units to sell?
The existing Pakubuwono Residence website provided visitors with conventional information about the property. While functional, the digital experience no longer fully reflected the scale, quality, and extensive facilities available within the development.
This was particularly important because Pakubuwono Residence serves both Indonesian residents and a significant international and expatriate community.
Prospective tenants considering a property in Jakarta may not always be able to immediately visit in person. Conventional photography and text can provide information about a property, but they cannot fully communicate the experience of walking through its grounds, exploring its facilities, and understanding the environment in which residents live.
At the same time, Pakubuwono Residence offered an extensive range of facilities and resident services that were difficult to adequately communicate through a conventional website.
The opportunity was therefore much larger than simply redesigning an existing website.
The property needed a digital experience capable of bringing Pakubuwono Residence to the visitor.
Identifying the Opportunity
Pakubuwono Residence did not initially approach InReality Solutions requesting the development of a 360° virtual tour.
We identified the opportunity ourselves.
Our team believed that an established luxury residential property of this scale could benefit from an entirely different approach to its digital presence.
Rather than asking visitors to browse through conventional pages, photographs, and menus, we proposed creating an immersive website that would immediately place visitors inside Pakubuwono Residence.
From the moment they entered the website, users would be able to look around, move between locations, discover facilities, access information, and experience the atmosphere of the property as though they were physically there.
At the time, this represented a significantly different approach from conventional property websites in Indonesia.
However, we also understood that explaining an unfamiliar digital concept would not be enough.
The client needed to experience it.
Proving the Concept Before Building the Platform
Before the full project began, InReality Solutions independently developed a sample experience for Pakubuwono Residence.
Selected areas of the property were photographed and transformed into an initial immersive prototype.
This allowed the management team to experience the concept firsthand and understand how an interactive 360° website could completely transform the way the property was presented online.
Rather than selling an abstract idea, we demonstrated the possibilities.
After experiencing the prototype and seeing the potential of the concept, Pakubuwono Residence moved forward with the development of the complete immersive digital platform.
The Solution: A Complete 360° Interactive Website
InReality Solutions was responsible for the entire transformation from concept to deployment.
Our scope included:
- Digital experience strategy and concept development
- Project planning
- Professional 360° photography
- Panoramic image stitching and post-production
- Immersive virtual experience development
- Custom UI/UX design
- Desktop experience development
- Mobile experience development
- Multilingual implementation
- Day and night experiences
- Interactive information and content
- Resident services
- Leasing inquiry pathways
- Cross-device optimization
- Deployment
- Ongoing maintenance and expansion
The result was not designed as a conventional website with a virtual tour embedded inside it.
The virtual experience became the website itself.
Visitors entering the platform could immediately begin exploring Pakubuwono Residence and discover information naturally as they moved throughout the property.
Approximately 220 Panoramic Locations
One of the defining characteristics of the Pakubuwono Residence project is its scale.
The continuously expanding immersive experience currently consists of approximately 220 panoramic locations covering the extensive public areas and facilities available throughout the property.
Visitors can virtually explore facilities including:
- Tennis courts
- Badminton courts
- Gym and fitness facilities
- Jogging track
- Putting green
- Restaurants
- Coffee shop
- Business center
- Children's indoor playground
- Children's outdoor playground
- Jacuzzi
- Sauna
- Changing rooms
- Music room
- Piano room
- Aviary
- Animal areas
- Reflection pond
- Trampoline areas
And numerous other public spaces and amenities throughout the development.
By connecting these locations within a unified interactive environment, prospective tenants can gain a much more comprehensive understanding of the lifestyle and facilities available at Pakubuwono Residence.
Creating an Emotional Connection Through Immersive Technology
Presenting the facilities was only one part of the objective.
The digital experience also needed to communicate the atmosphere of Pakubuwono Residence.
The landscaped grounds, extensive outdoor areas, water features, and resort-like environment are important elements of the property's identity.
To help communicate this atmosphere digitally, the experience combines immersive visuals with a customized audio experience.
Rather than using generic background music, the platform incorporates music created specifically for Pakubuwono Residence, featuring Balinese gamelan-inspired elements that complement the character and atmosphere of the property.
The objective was to create more than a visual connection.
By combining 360° imagery, movement, interactivity, information, and sound, the platform was designed to create a more complete emotional experience for visitors.
Experiencing Pakubuwono Residence During the Day and at Night
The atmosphere of a property can change significantly between daytime and evening.
Pakubuwono Residence management wanted visitors to experience both.
Selected outdoor locations were therefore photographed separately during the day and at night.
Visitors can switch between these experiences to see how the environment transforms throughout the day and experience the illuminated grounds and resort-like atmosphere of the property after dark.
This required separate photography sessions and additional development to seamlessly integrate both experiences within the platform.
Designed for International and Expatriate Audiences
Pakubuwono Residence attracts residents and prospective tenants from Indonesia and around the world.
To make the experience more accessible to its international audience, the platform was developed in four languages:
- Bahasa Indonesia
- English
- Japanese
- Korean
The platform can automatically present the appropriate language experience based on the visitor's browser language settings.
This was particularly valuable for Japanese and Korean audiences, which represent important international markets for the property.
Analytics from October 2024 demonstrated the platform's international reach, with active visitors recorded from Indonesia, Singapore, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Australia, India, and other locations.
More Than a Marketing Website: A Digital Platform for Residents
The immersive website was not designed exclusively for prospective tenants.
It was also developed to provide value for people already living at Pakubuwono Residence.
Residents can use the platform to access information and services including:
- Restaurant menus and food ordering pathways
- Management contact information
- Facility information
- Activity and class schedules
- Event information
- Resident-related content
- Property news and updates
An event calendar helps residents discover activities taking place throughout the property, while an integrated content section allows Pakubuwono Residence to regularly publish updates and demonstrate the active community and lifestyle within the development.
This transformed the website from a static property marketing platform into an evolving digital resource serving both external and internal audiences.
Creating a Clearer Path from Exploration to Leasing Inquiry
The experience was also designed to support the leasing journey.
Prospective tenants can explore Pakubuwono Residence independently, learn about its facilities, experience the property environment, and then easily proceed toward making an inquiry.
Contact forms and direct communication pathways, including WhatsApp integration, make it easier for interested visitors to connect with leasing representatives and arrange further discussions or property visits.
This creates a natural journey:
Discover → Explore → Experience → Learn → Inquire
Instead of asking prospective tenants to make an inquiry based solely on conventional photographs and descriptions, the platform allows them to develop a much deeper understanding of the property before contacting the leasing team.
Custom UI/UX Designed Specifically for Pakubuwono Residence
A project of this scale required more than simply connecting panoramic photographs.
InReality Solutions developed a completely customized user interface and user experience specifically for Pakubuwono Residence.
The visual identity, navigation, interface elements, and overall experience were designed to complement the property's existing brand and premium positioning.
Particular attention was given to making the extensive experience easy to navigate.
With approximately 220 panoramic locations, numerous facilities, multiple languages, interactive content, resident services, and day/night experiences, intuitive UI/UX was essential.
The objective was to ensure that users could easily discover and access information without feeling overwhelmed by the scale of the platform.
Separate Experiences for Desktop and Mobile Devices
The platform was optimized for desktop computers, smartphones, and tablets.
However, rather than simply shrinking the desktop experience to fit smaller screens, InReality Solutions developed dedicated interfaces and menu systems adapted to different device types.
The desktop and mobile experiences were designed to account for differences in screen size, navigation behavior, and user interaction.
Compatible VR devices can also be used to experience the immersive environment in virtual reality, further increasing the sense of presence within the property.
The Challenge of Photographing a Fully Operational Residential Property
One of the greatest challenges of the project was capturing a large, highly occupied residential property while maintaining the visual quality required for a premium immersive experience.
At the time of the project, Pakubuwono Residence already had a high occupancy rate.
Residents were continuously using the facilities, walking through public spaces, exercising, dining, and participating in activities.
However, creating professional 360° photography required capturing these environments without unnecessarily displaying residents or compromising their privacy.
This created a significant logistical challenge.
Our photography team had to carefully coordinate with property management and security personnel to identify appropriate photography windows.
Every photography session required detailed planning.
The team needed to understand:
- Which locations would be photographed
- When facilities were least likely to be occupied
- How lighting conditions would affect image quality
- How quickly photography needed to be completed
- How to minimize disruption to residents
- How to maintain visual consistency throughout the experience
Simply photographing the property late at night was not an option because many areas required natural daylight and appropriate lighting conditions.
The process therefore required careful preparation, close coordination, and efficient execution.
Four to Five Months of End-to-End Development
The initial project required approximately four to five months from planning through launch.
Each panoramic location needed to be:
- Planned
- Photographed
- Stitched
- Edited
- Optimized
- Integrated into the experience
- Connected to surrounding locations
- Enhanced with interactive functionality
- Tested across devices
This process was repeated across the extensive property environment.
At the same time, InReality Solutions was developing the custom UI/UX, multilingual functionality, interactive content, day/night experiences, mobile and desktop interfaces, resident services, and leasing pathways.
The result was one of InReality Solutions' most extensive immersive property projects.
The Results
The transformation produced measurable changes in the way visitors interact with the Pakubuwono Residence digital platform.
A Google Analytics report covering a 30-day period in October 2024 recorded 647 active users, 604 new users, an average engagement time of 2 minutes 3 seconds per active user, 33,000 click events, 7,200 play events, and 1,200 page views.
Importantly, these results were achieved without paid advertising campaigns or active social media promotion.
Organic Search represented the largest source of website traffic during the measured period.
More Than 50 Click Interactions per Active User
Based on the measured Google Analytics figures, the platform generated more than 50 click interactions per active user during the 30-day reporting period.
This illustrates an important difference between conventional property websites and immersive digital experiences.
Visitors were not simply arriving, viewing a page, and leaving.
They were actively exploring.
They clicked through locations, interacted with hotspots, accessed information, played content, and discovered different areas throughout the property.
Occupancy Increased from Approximately 88% to 97–98%
Within approximately 18 months following the launch of the immersive digital platform, Pakubuwono Residence's occupancy rate increased from approximately 88% to 97–98%.
Occupancy levels are naturally influenced by multiple factors, and the increase cannot be attributed exclusively to a single digital platform.
However, Pakubuwono Residence management reported increased leasing inquiries following the website transformation, with inquiries arriving regularly through the property's digital channels.
The immersive website provided prospective tenants with a powerful way to remotely experience the property, understand its extensive facilities, and progress toward contacting the leasing team.
The increase in occupancy, leasing interest, and measurable digital engagement demonstrates the value of creating an online experience that more accurately represents the quality of the physical property.
An Immersive Platform That Continues to Evolve
The launch of the platform was not the end of the project.
InReality Solutions continues to work with Pakubuwono Residence under an ongoing maintenance and development arrangement.
The experience has continued to evolve as new locations, content, functionality, and updates are required.
Today, the immersive platform encompasses approximately 220 panoramic locations and continues to serve as part of the property's digital presence.
This long-term collaboration reflects an important aspect of the InReality Solutions approach.
We do not simply create immersive experiences and walk away.
We can continue maintaining, developing, optimizing, and expanding digital platforms as our clients and their businesses evolve.
What Made the Pakubuwono Residence Project Different?
The Pakubuwono Residence project demonstrates how immersive technology can be used for much more than creating a virtual property walkthrough.
The project combined:
- Immersive property exploration
- Digital marketing
- Brand positioning
- Resident services
- International accessibility
- Content marketing
- Lead generation
- Custom UI/UX
- Virtual reality compatibility
- Ongoing digital development
The result was not simply a virtual tour.
It was a complete immersive digital ecosystem designed around the specific requirements of an established luxury residential property.
“We were already considering a virtual tour, but we had no idea it could deliver this level of detail and value. InReality Solutions showed us how much information could be embedded into the experience, and we were so impressed that we decided to upgrade our entire website into an interactive 360° platform. The results have been phenomenal — our engagement rate has increased by 4 times higher than before. This has been one of the best marketing investments we've made.”
